Excel file merge
Use one workbook as your main list, match it to a second workbook by a shared identifier, and bring across only the columns you need. RowPair shows uncertain matches before anything is downloaded.
Ready-to-use example
The workbook contains a Main file sheet, a Lookup file sheet, and the expected result. Upload it in both file slots and select the two source sheets when RowPair asks.

Step by step
Choose the workbook whose rows should remain first, then add the workbook containing the extra information.
Match Customer ID to Customer ID, even if the columns appear in different positions or use different headings.
Bring across only the fields needed in the finished workbook instead of importing the entire lookup file.
Check no-match and duplicate rows, resolve anything ambiguous, then export the clean result as Excel or CSV.
Before you export
Store identifiers such as 00123 as text in both files. RowPair preserves text values and avoids silently turning them into 123.
If one ID appears more than once in the lookup workbook, RowPair asks you to choose the intended row rather than guessing.
The headings do not need to match. You can explicitly connect Customer No. in one file to Customer ID in the other.
